When I was diagnosed with pneumonia in Bloomington IN, I was to get a follow-on chest x-ray in two weeks or so to see progress. Yesterday, we went to the Falmouth ER - the only place in the area which does such - expecting to be there an hour or two. We were there for five, and had many tests done, including a CT scan. The net result is I have a mass in one of my lungs. It is most likely an abscess due to the pneumonia, but they cannot rule out cancer. The good news is none of the other tests showed the usual “markers ” for cancer. I am to get another CT scan in two weeks or so - we will be in Ashville NC.

Berta did some internet research last night, and - with her vast medical knowledge - is convinced it is an abscess. I hope she is correct.
